Introducing: Our World Choir Games "Dream Team"

Moening Presentation Group has assembled a true dream team to create the American Music Showcase that will introduce World Choir Games competitors to the USA and their host city for 2012—Cincinnati. We’re thrilled to introduce them and even more excited to present their work on this important project to the world!

Tammy Colucci—Choreographer

Tammy comes to MPG from Broadway, where her most recent projects include “Broadway on Broadway,” “Broadway’s Easter Bonnet Competition starring Liza Minelli,” “A Tribute to Chita Rivera” and “Broadway Bares.” Tammy also choreographed Rosie O’Donnell and Rachel Ray in their appearances together on Rachel Ray’s TV show and “The View.” An accomplished performer in her own right, Tammy has appeared numerous times on television, danced with recording artists in New York City and around the world, and lent her talents to industrials for companies such as Radio City Music Hall, Pontiac/GMC, Harley Davidson, Microsoft, The Walt Disney Company, EMI Latin and Polygram Records. She recently graced the stage with Chita Rivera at the Kennedy Center for an evening “Celebrating Women in the Performing Arts.” Tammy is a highly sought-after instructor and regularly travels the country with her company, New York Dance Jamz, Inc.

Jeffrey Allen Smith—Composer and Music Director

Jeff’s original songs, arrangements and recordings have been enjoyed at venues across the country, from Disney World to Sea World. A musical prodigy who at age 7 was accepted at Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music, Jeff spent his younger years traveling the country with Steve Lake and the Swingmasters, performing with artists from the Grand Ole Opry and even appearing on the Phil Donahue show. After spending nearly 10 years writing shows for theme parks owned by Kings Productions (which eventually became Paramount Parks Design and Entertainment), Jeff formed his own company, Whirlwind Productions. His award-winning music has been featured in national commercials, at events such as Oklahoma City’s Capitol Dome Dedication Ceremony featuring Amy Grant and Vince Gill, and at destinations such as Six Flags, Kenney Wood and Paramount Parks.

Tammy and Jeff are working under the direction of MPG president Scott Moening, vice president Kimberly Moening and producer Mark Eckhoff, with a script written by MPG Senior Writer Sara Bennett-Wealer. Costumes for the American Music Showcase are designed and built by MPG’s own Suzy Ziller, while Don Regensburger will produce all film and video aspects of the show.
