Don has built a reputation for blending creativity with technical and business savvy over more than 40 years of award-winning film and video work. He has produced and directed major projects for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Hewlett-Packard, Novell, Kenner, Intel, CitiBank, Creative Labs and Chevron. And because he has experience in all critical production positions—including line producer, director of photography, cameraman and editor—he has the skills to bring about successful productions at any level.
Don began his career as an audio recordist/designer for numerous children’s projects that won honors, including the prestigious Peabody Award. He produced the 35mm film Virginia―Pursuit of Happiness, which won the Cine Golden Eagle, and in 1979 put together the investor package for and produced the theatrical feature Legacy of the Stars. His work on commercials and corporate image projects includes a LensCrafters spot that won him a 1989 Telly for directorial expertise and multi-image/multi-source presentations for clients such as Crest Oral-B and P&G Beauty.
Don also is expert at creating film and video for special venues and environmental theaters. Directorial projects in this area include Heartsong for the Dollywood theme park, On The Chisholm Trail for the Chisholm Trail Museum, Midnight Decision for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Mapping Our Tears for the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education and More Than You Ever Imagined for the Smithsonian 150th Anniversary Tour sponsored by Intel.
