MPG in Planning Stages for World Choir Games Spectacular

Moening Presentation Group has begun preliminary planning for an event to take place in Shaoxing, China, introducing the city of Cincinnati and the legacy of American music to participants in the World Choir Games 2010.

The Broadway-caliber show celebrates the selection of Cincinnati to host the World Choir Games in 2012. Billed as the Olympics of choral music, the Cincinnati games will mark the first time that they have been presented in the U.S.

“We are so thrilled to be involved with an event that will bring hundreds of thousands of young artists from around the world to our Queen City,” said MPG President Scott Moening. “And we’re honored to be introducing those singers to the richness of American music.”

To give participants a preview of what’s to come, the next host city always puts on a spectacular during the current World Choir Games. In 2010, that will be in Shaoxing. MPG is working with the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau and other city leaders to craft a show celebrating the rich history of American music and the influence it has had on music worldwide.
