MPG Team Brings “The American Dream: A Musical Journey” to Life

Production has shifted into high gear on “The American Dream: A Musical Journey,” which will introduce World Choir Games competitors in Shaoxing, China, to Cincinnati for 2012 and to the rich heritage of American Music.

Vocal tracks have been laid, choreography is well underway, and editing has begun on the video story that will act as a throughline and backdrop to our singers and dancers onstage.

Original footage was captured during a two-day video shoot with two talented young actors portraying a Chinese girl and an American boy who’ve met during the World Choir Games in Shaoxing and are looking forward to the Cincinnati games two years from now.

Portraying Ling is 14-year-old Hannah Foster of Tampa, Florida. Born in ShaoWu, Fujian Province, People's Republic of China, Hannah was adopted as an infant and began acting at the age of five.  She also is an accomplished classical pianist and has performed numerous roles in musical theater.

Our American boy, Jack, is played by 11-year-old Jack Blair from Springboro, Ohio. Jack has appeared in live theater productions throughout the Cincinnati area, including Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, and The Wizard of Oz.

The MPG team is so proud of our young stars. Jack and Hannah were absolute professionals throughout our long shoot, from singing in the studio, to posing for pictures on the green screen, to delivering lines on camera for their "live" webcam chat. They kept the same energy going from start to finish, and we can’t wait to share their talents with our international audience next month!
